The town
A fishing village that stayed a fishing village
Moraira has around 14,000 residents and sits between Calpe and Dénia. No apartment towers, no promenade full of souvenir shops — but a marina, an eighteenth-century castle at the water's edge and, on Friday mornings, a market that brings out half the town. The villa sits in the hills above: ten minutes down to the beach, ten minutes back to the quiet.
El Portet
A horseshoe bay, sheltered and shallow — the beach everyone wants when there are children. Come early for a parking space.
Cala Andragó
One of the small coves along the coast road. Rocks, deep blue water and excellent snorkelling.
The marina
More than 600 berths, a promenade of restaurants and, in the evening, the best hour of the day.
